On behalf of the National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA) and its Board of Directors I am honored that you joined us in Orange County, California for the "2nd Annual Building the Latina Business Women Conference." This conference's theme was "Helping Latina Business Women Excel," and featured two fabulous world renown speakers, Michael Gerber and DC Cordova speaking on awakening and reviving the entrepreneur within us all.
The NLBWA Annual Conference was a one day event that gathered over 160 Latina business owners and entrepreneurs from across the country for content driven programs that offered quality tools for success for up and coming business owners as well as those business owners that need a jump start. We also honored Legislator of the Year, Nicole Parra for her dedication in advocating on women's business issues across the State of California.
During our Latina luncheon we paid tribute to exceptional Latinas in business from each of our four chapters, Los Angeles, Orange County, Sacramento and San Diego. Next year we will also honor women from our Atlanta, Georgia and Inland Empire chapters. Atlanta launched December 4, 2007 and the Inland Empire will launch April 24, 2008. Furthermore, with all contributing we are working hard to form chapters next year or the year after in Utah, Chicago, Texas, New York and Florida.
After almost five years we are proud to be part of a growing National organization and thank our NLBWA Board of Directors, our sponsors, our chapters, our volunteers and our members for their contribution in making NLBWA one of the fastest growing Latina business organizations across the country.
Thank you for joining us and we look forward to seeing you on November 20, 2008 in San Diego California for our 3rd Annual Conference! Please mark your calendars now.
Sincerely,
