BIO:
Yolanda Padilla, Supplier Diversity Manager, for Southern California Gas Company and San Diego Gas & Electric Company, Sempra Energy utilities. In this role, she is responsible for identifying, developing, and advocating for women and minority-owned businesses utilization throughout Sempra Energy family of companies.

Yolanda began her career with Sempra Energy utilities 30 years ago. Since that time she has held a number of management positions within Southern California Gas Company including Computer Instructor and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. For the past fifteen years, Yolanda has been the liaison between Sempra Energy's family of companies and women and minority business community to identify and develop viable suppliers with the potential of doing business with Sempra Energy. In this position she acts as an internal consultant and advocate for minority and women supplier utilization throughout the organization. In 2006, Sempra Energy utilities had spent over 23% of their total procurement dollars with women and minority suppliers.

Her efforts in Supplier Diversity have been recognized with many award and recognitions for herself and her company in the past years. She continues to serve in a leadership capacity in several business organizations including the Corporate Advisory Board for the Latin Business Association, The National Association of Women Business Owners and Southern California Minority Business Development Council.
